4. Aurora Gazer Badlands auroras! What an incredible all-nighter of photography. I had been waiting for several months for a clear weekend forecast to visit the Badlands in South Dakota for some killer night shooting. As luck would have it, the night I decided to go also coincided with the arrival of two solar flares. These flares kicked off some beautiful auroras that lasted the entire night. While one camera was capturing a timelapse of the lights, I took a few minutes to take a self portrait gazing at the nature's light show in front of me.
